It’s hard to say when I got into the bra fit business, because in some ways, I’ve been thinking about it since I first hit puberty. While I was a late bloomer, once I began developing a chest it just kept growing and growing. Soon, I had grown out of every bra in the department store. I had no idea what came after DD – there simply wasn’t anything in the stores where I grew up. I was always uncomfortable, and was constantly fiddling with and squirming under my bra…and for good reason, it didn’t fit! It felt like I had six breasts – the two in the cups, the two spilling over the top, and the two sliding under the bottom. It wasn’t a good look. Plus, it was difficult to feel attractive or confident when I felt embarrassed by my own body, every day.

Years later, I found a store in England that stocked bras “for big-boobed girls” and, for the first time in my life, I knew my bra size. Even better, I found pretty, comfortable bras in my size.
